- Lambie town walk - a self guided tour through the township. Visit the Cooma Visitors Centre for maps
- Take a look through the Cooma Correctional Centre Museum
- Check out the artwork on display at the Raglan Gallery
- Have lunch and enjoy the beauiful views from the top of Mt Gladstone at Miss Heidi's Tea House - head South out of Cooma for 5kms and turn left at the wagon
Adaminaby
- The brand new Adaminaby Museum - located on the lower side of the highway, opposite the big fish
- Lake Eucumbene Fishing Charters - based out of Old Adaminaby
- Go horseriding with Reynella Rides or Cochran Horse Treks
- Explore the beautiful townships of nearby Old Adaminaby and Anglers Reach

Route from Adaminaby to Tumut on the Snowy Mountains Highway
- Visit the historic gold mining township of Kiandra - walk the Kiandra Historic Track and check out the newly restored Kiandra Courthouse
- Buy a souvenir and have a cuppa at Cabramurra - Australia's highest town
- Visit the natural and historic places of interest at Long Plain including Coolamine Homestead and Blue Waterholes
- Tour Yarrangobilly Caves and take a swim in the natural thermal pool
- Do the walk to Landers Falls lookout - turn left off the highway onto Cumberland Trail. Drive 4.2km in, then the lookouts are are further 0.8km walk in.
- Take part in one of the fantastic Aboriginal Discover Programs on offer through the Department of Environment and Climate Change
- Visit the beautiful lakeside township of Talbingo and check out the Tumut 3 Power Station Display Centre to learn more about turbine generators

- Hire canoes from Slide'n'Ride Snow and Water Sports Hire and go for a paddle down the Tumut River - you'll find them on the Highway in Tumut opposite the Butter Factory
